This contraction brings the core and rope elements closer together, which increases the cable length to some extent. By applying a load and closing the space between the wires and the strands, the structural tension of the rope is created.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"rtl\">The amount of structural tension depends on various factors such as length, rope structure, diameter and cable bending. In applications where the same amount of traction is applied, cables with more wires usually have more traction than structures with less wires.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"rtl\">After applying the initial load and creating tension, the diameter of the wire rope<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">  <\/span>It decreases slightly and its length increases. The change made in the rope wire is permanent.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"rtl\">What is elastic tension?<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"rtl\">Unlike structural tension, elastic tension is measurable. The elastic tension is calculated accurately using the above formula, unless it exceeds the efficiency point of the cable. After the force is released, the wire material regains its original length.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"rtl\">Structural tension versus elastic tension: Can it be eliminated?<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"rtl\">Designers must consider whether the inherent tensile properties of the tensioned wire rope<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">  <\/span>Is it important for their intended use or not. As the wire rope is adjusted under load, structural tension typically occurs over a very small section of rope length. The length of the cable may be only 0.0025 to .01 times the length of the rope under load. For example, if the load is low, the total structural tension will be close to a quarter percent or less.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"rtl\">If a small endurance is required for a particular application, the structural tension of the wire rope can be changed using the following points:<\/p>\n<p dir=\"rtl\">\u2022 Preload (also known as pre-traction)<\/p>\n<p dir=\"rtl\">\u2022 Change the wire rope diameter<\/p>\n<p dir=\"rtl\">\u2022 Increase safety factor<\/p>\n<p dir=\"rtl\">If the right cable structure and diameter is chosen, most applications will not be adversely affected by traction. Many cables are designed with a higher safety factor than the workforce. For example, a 5,000-pound wire rope may be used with a total load of 2,500 pounds, which means that the cable works with a safety factor of 2. Safety factors can be increased if the structural tension in the wire rope is a concern.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"rtl\">The wire rope can be stretched in advance to achieve uniform tension.
